I have been following this hermit crab for about 5 meters until he stopped on a wreck. This is quite a long distance for any crab out there. The photo was taken when the crab stopped and started observing the surroundings. Unfortunately I can only guess what he was looking for, but a bunch of other crabs were fighting for a shell nearby. It could be that his intention was to join the brawl 🙂
Hermit crabs spend quite a considerable amount of time of their lives looking for new shells. Eventually as they grow bigger and bigger, they shell has to be changed and that’s where the problems start to emerge for the crab. The shells however, especially the once that are not broken are priceless underwater. Hermit crabs occasionally fight for them. Moreover, octopuses are known to hunt for them too so they can drag ’em into their small homes under the rocks.

No matter where in the world are you, there is likely a production center either in your country, or very close to the country you’re in. Currently there are production centers in 20 countries, including EU (most of the EU countries so there’s no import duty/taxes on any EU orders), Americas (United states, Canada and Brazil), Africa (South Africa), Asia (India) and Australia.
This means that it is very likely that your underwater wall art order will be shipped to you as soon as possible and the shipping price would definitely not break a bank.
