P33 patrol boat
Description
P33 used to serve as a patrol boat in Malta since 1992. She served in the Armed forces of Malta up until 2005, when she was decommissioned. Rumor has it, that the P33 would be scuttled somewhere since 2012. In 2021 the place was finalized – she was scuttled in Marsascala bay at the end of July 2021. The wreck ended up settling right in between the 2 older wrecks that were in the area – Tugboat 10 and Tugboat St. Michael.
Incident
Locals and other divers from the southern part of Malta were quite enthusiastic about the new wreck in the area. However, the weather had it’s own plans. During the storm in winter of 2022 the wreck has been destroyed and torn apart into smaller pieces. Some parts end up inside the bay in the shallow area that is used for try-dives. This is the current (as of May 2022) state of the P33 wreck.
The dive at P33
While there’s no wreck in one piece anymore, this is still a very interesting dive. The remains of P33 now offer a unique opportunity to see a wreck of a wreck 🙂
Hovering above those huge parts of the wreck that are left now. Looking at their present condition and admiring the power of nature – is a very unusual experience for any diver.

The canvas prints are made from FSC certified wood which ensuring a long-lasting and high-quality product.
The canvas (or as it is sometimes called – slim canvas) has an approximately 2cm / 0.8″ thick wood stretcher bar. We use coated fabric, which is a blend of cotton and polyester for the canvas substrate. This provides a weight of approximately 300-350gsm/110-130lb and a thickness of 350-400 microns giving you a sturdy and durable product.
Hanging kit is of course included as well!
All canvas prints are shipped in protective packaging and strong boxes, so your new wall art will arrive safe and strong.
No matter where in the world are you, there is likely a production center either in your country, or very close to the country you’re in. Currently there are production centers in 20 countries, including EU (most of the EU countries so there’s no import duty/taxes on any EU orders), Americas (United states, Canada and Brazil), Africa (South Africa), Asia (India) and Australia.
This means that it is very likely that your underwater wall art order will be shipped to you as soon as possible and the shipping price would definitely not break a bank.
