Look at this photo closer, this octopus looks quite confused isn’t he? His arms area spread all over the place with, what looks like no logic at all. It might look like he was playing too much and and tied all the way up with his own hands.. But that probably is not the case.
What have happened here? Most likely the octopus is hiding either his catch or some of the stones or shells that he considers valuable to him. It might also be his portion of lunch. It is know that octopus love to collect shells. They might use them as a form of protection during hunting, the time when they are most vulnerable. Another thing might be that this is some sort of underwater rock piece found nearby. Octopus uses them like a door, to protect their den entrance. Another interesting fact is that female species might throw things at male species when they annoy them. This might also be there case here, we never know!
